About

Kylie Mundell
Illustrator/ Co-writer
Kylie Mundell of Kylie’s Comics first love was animation, but as a child, she didn’t have the money or resources. However, an afterschool program, Comics and Animation, taught her all she needed to make a comic was a piece of paper, a sharpie, and an idea. That was way within her budget! She created stories non-stop for years, and she still has paragraphs of my phone notes of unused comic ideas. A hospital where superheroes work. The adventures of four young runaways. A man with werewolf goggles. Comics took her out of the hard times she faced in middle school and helped her deal with grief. The fun worlds they transported her to were a beautiful escape, and she found company in her troubles through her characters. Animation is still her first love, but to her, comics will always be the most special form of storytelling.

JD Grey
Co-writer/Editor/Head of Marketing
JD Grey never thought he would help make a comic. Growing up as a writer of short stories, he always had his sights on making novels or screenplays. But then one day, his best friend Kylie texted him at midnight with an idea and their partnership was born. Throughout the adventure of writing a comic and self-publishing it (which has all taken place in a year, mind you) he learned a lot about himself, storytelling, and how important comics are. The Evil Endeavors of Mr. Whiskers is the first comic he’s worked on, and now he hopes it won’t be his last.
